Archeological evidence reveals that the olive tree has been cultivated in the Koura region of North Lebanon for thousands of years. The Koura Region is an elevated plateau about 300 meters above sea level, situated at the foot of the West Lebanon Mountains that tower three thousand meters high. This breathtaking location, adjacent to the Mediterranean and enjoying its climate, possesses lush clay soils. Naturally rich in potassium, calcium and minerals, these fertile soils coupled with our organically grown native cultivars, make our olive crop superior. At Olive Harvest, our olives are carefully hand-picked to minimize the injury of the fruit, which is a key factor in determining the quality of the olive oil obtained. The fruit is immediately transferred for pressing, capturing the natural flavor and preserving quality.
