Ingredients

1 cup basmati rice

4 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp Maalouf Rose Water

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground cardamom

Pinch of Wajd Sea Salt

Optional toppings: chopped nuts, dried fruit, chopped Mymoune Bitter Orange Peel, or a drizzle of honey
Directions
Rinse the rice and place it in a large saucepan with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let simmer until the water has been absorbed, about 15 minutes.
Add the milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, rose water, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt to the saucepan. Stir to combine.
Increase heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture has thickened and the rice is tender, about 25-30 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool. Serve chilled, topped with your favorite toppings.
